Abstract: The connotation and valuation of environmental health have become one of the frontiers of current research in environmental and health economics. Currently, a unified and comprehensive system of environmental health valuation method is lacking in China, and discrepancies exist in the results obtained with different assessment methods. Based on tracing the theoretical basis of environmental health valuation method, this article compares five representative valuation method in terms of their theoretical basis, scope of application, application conditions, and advantages and disadvantages. We also provide ideas and suggestions for method selection and future research directions for domestic environmental health valuation.
