Chemokines and Silicosis

Silicosis is a kind of occupational disease with high incidence and seriously harm to workers. Chemokines are a special class of cytokines playing an important role in the development of early inflammation and fibrosis in silicosis. Elucidating the relations of chemokines and pulmonary fibrosis development would make us to further understand the mechanism of the formation of pulmonary fibrosis and provide theoretical basis for opening up new areas of prevention and treatment of silicosis.
